Payment

The price of any Products will be as quoted on our site, except in cases of obvious error.
You have the option to include or exclude VAT but exclude delivery costs, which will be added to the total amount due as set out on our terms below.

VAT stands for Value Added Tax, which is charged on most goods and services within the European Union. The current VAT rate stands at 20 percent. Frank Howard Tools & Fixings Ltd is required by law to collect VAT on orders dispatched to addresses within the European Union subject to the terms below. Orders sent to addresses anywhere else in the world will not be subject to VAT but they may be subject to local taxes and customs charges. For customers with a delivery address within the EU, VAT charges for your order will be itemised on your invoice.

Prices are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect orders in respect of which we have already sent you a Dispatch Confirmation.

Our site contains a large number of Products and it is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the Products listed on our site may be incorrectly priced. We will normally verify prices as part of our dispatch procedures so that, where a Product's correct price is less than our stated price, we will charge the lower amount when dispatching the Product to you. If a Product's correct price is higher than the price stated on our site, we will normally, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before dispatching the Product, or reject your order and notify you of such rejection.

We are under no obligation to provide the Product to you at the incorrect (lower) price, even after we have sent you a Dispatch Confirmation, if the pricing error is obvious and unmistakeable and could have reasonably been recognised by you as a mis-pricing.

Payment for all Products must be by credit card, debit card, Paypal. We accept most major cards, however we do not accept American Express.

Delivery

We aim to deliver goods to you within the time indicated by us on the relevant product page on our website but we cannot give an exact delivery date. We also may deliver the goods in several consignments but will not charge any extra delivery for this. In most cases orders received prior to 3pm will be processed and shipped the same day. In some instances where stock is being held in storage or with our suppliers, delivery may take an extra 1 working day.

FH offers free delivery to UK Mainland addresses (offshore and highland post codes may have an additional surcharge applied to the basket. If an item is out of stock you will be given the option to retain the goods on back order, an alternative product or to be refunded the price paid within 30 days.

All postal charges are shown prior to completing checkout. Delivery lead times may also be extended by an additional working day. A limited selection of products have special carriage applied due to size and weight, but this is clearly shown in your basket before checkout.

Returns & Refunds

If you change your mind
Under the Distance Selling regulation if you decide you no longer want the product ordered, you are entitled to return it, provided that you inform us within 7 the days following the date of delivery.If you are returning a product to us, you are responsible for the safe delivery of that product until received by us. We therefore recommend using a tracked, insured delivery method. We will always refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase.

Damaged in transit
If any items were damaged in transit, we ask that you report it to us as soon as you discover the damage, and within 7 working days at the very latest. No claims can be entertained after this period. If the items are visibly damaged on receipt, please sign the carrier's delivery note as 'DAMAGED', or refuse the goods for return to us. If you do not have time to check the goods upon delivery, it is best to sign for the goods as 'UNCHECKED'. We advise that items should be returned with their original packaging complete with all accessories and documentation. Once received, we'll issue a replacement or full refund to you via your original payment method and reimburse you for reasonable return carriage costs.

Items Faulty on Arrival
If your items are faulty on arrival, you have 7 calendar days in which to inform us of the fault. We advise that items should be returned with their original packaging complete with all accessories and documentation. Once we have verified the fault, we'll issue a replacement or full refund to you via your original payment method and reimburse you for reasonable return carriage costs. We will have the returned items inspected, and if a returned item is found not to be faulty we will return the item to you. In this instance you will be liable for the return carriage, and the items will not be re-sent until we have received payment equal to the initial carriage cost.

All products are covered by manufactures guarantees, unless otherwise stated, therefore if any of your purchases develop a fault, then provided your item is within its warranty period, contact us on web@frankhoward.com with full details of item, when you purchased it and we will advise on the quickest course of action. This may be a technical phone call, site visit from the manufacture or your item may need to be returned to the manufacture.
